Scientist on the decline

Nowadays we can see a decline of science students about 5% each year. This matter can lead to shortage of

science teachers,so we have a decrease in number of students taking science.People ignore science and

importance of this, and they attention to popular books and other things more than invention or science.

first job for science are poorly paid, and maybe this matter is affected to this wive. Sometimes remedies

are not successful,as a result people don't trust to scientists. At the end, young people should be supported to

study science, because it's a primary need in the world.

  1. Wow Samane, this is really good. Well done! In terms of a paragraph and paraphrasing, it's excellent.

Let me change a few small things here. Notice how it's different to yours.

Nowadays we see a decline in science students at about five per cent annually. This matter can lead to a shortage of science teachers, so we have a decrease in the number of students taking science. People these days don't see science as so important, and they pay attention to popular books and other things rather than inventions or science. In addition, first jobs for scientists are often poorly paid, making them unattractive options. Furthermore, some scientific remedies are not successful, and as a result people don't trust scientists. It is clear that young people should be supported in studying science, because it is a primary need in the world.

When you use the computer, we always leave a space after full stops and commas. As well, we only press the 'enter' key when you want a new paragraph - not within a paragraph.

    You're doing really well Samane.

  2. One more thing - your comment about the low pay being a problem for their wives doesn't work so well for western cultures. Besides, in many countries women are scientists. It's okay to make the point but perhaps you could say:

... and in some countries, for example Iran, this could affect his/her chances of attracting a good wife/husband.

    What do you think?
