Eating in restaurant is expensive - Mimi

Nowadays, a meal for a family set can be cost more than RM100 in a dine in restaurant, which show that eating in restaurant is expensive. The reasons of price increasing for a meal in restaurant are caused by the shortage of raw material in our country. This is due to the limited of natural resouces and unlimited of human's demand. In addition, there are a lots of competitors among food & beverage industry, therefore, they increase their price product to gain more profits. Last but not least, currently our country's economy is at the recouvery stage and this lead to rise of consumer's income, with this reason owner of restaurants will gain their food's price to earn more. In my opinion, people should not frequently dine in a restaurant because it can help to save their own money especially students who does'nt have income.

  1. Mimi,

I like your idea about raw materials. Good point. However, lots of competitors means that prices are less, not more. Rising incomes means that people can eat out more and when demand is higher, prices are higher.

Labour and property rental costs make eating out expensive.

When you use a modal verb, it is followed by an infinitive, e.g. can + cost.

    See you tomorrow.
