My name is Mahmood and I was study at the british council last year from Elementry 1 up to Pre-intermediate 5 after that I went back to Yemen I stayed there about 9 months and I came back to Malaysia to do ILTS.......because I will go to philippines to study civil aviation.....
I really hope to improve my English very fast to go there to start my study....I'm really into fly,,,,, whole my dream to be a pilot
eventually I wish all the best to every one,,,,,to realise all your ambations.. ^_^

My name is kay, this is my second course in British Council. I did General English - intermediate 1 on two weeks before.
I came to here is to improve my English because I found my English is weak and need to get more improvement during this semester break. I am currently studying at Taylor's University, doing accounting and finance course. My semester break will be end on 25 September, so I really hope to improve as much as I can in this holiday.
Besides, one year more I will complete my degree and graduate. Nowadays, most of the career requires the candidate have good command in English, so this is the best timing and chance for me to improve my English before going for work.
I like to watch F1, I spent a lot of time in watching the news, for instance 2 hours a day. This sport is really interesting, not only about the cars or drivers, it is more about how the team director set their strategics and win the race.
I hope this course will really teach me more about reading skill, which I have big problem on. I have to read a lot of articles or journals before I start the assignment. Most of the time, I can't understand what is those article talk about and unable to finish large number of reading.
So, I will pay full attention and learn the way to read through an article or journal effectively and efficiently.

Welcome to the Academic Reading and Writing class for intermediate students. This course is Green and there is a second course which is Blue.
My name is Emma and I'll be teaching you every day of the course. I like this because I get to know you all better and we get to work more on the skills that you most need. I think I'm quite a friendly teacher but I really don't like students being late and students who miss lots of classes!
I'm married to a Malaysian and I have 3 children, aged 11, 9 and 7. I have lots of pets - can you guess that they are?! I have a cat with a broken paw who needs lots of care and cuddles at the moment but he's very sweet and a good patient! I have a big Malaysian family here and a small family back in England. At the end of July, I'm going to England for 3 days with my daughter to surprise my Grandma at her 90th birthday party!
I love reading. At the moment, I'm reading Cider with Rosie by Laurie Lee. It's a classic of English Literature. I like rowing with people from my old university and playing badmninton with my son. I'm Secretary of a Society too so that keeps me really busy.
I hope you'll enjoy the course and get lots of out it.

Steve Jobs - Kam Seng
Steve Jobs is Co-Founder and CEO of Apple Inc. This CEO was born in San Francisco in February 1955. He was adopted as an infant by Paul and Clara Jobs. Steve's father was a machinist that manufactured lasers and Clara Jobs was an accountant and he has a biological, younger sister Mona Simpson. His wife Laurene Powell, they meet at Stanford University while he was speaking at a class. They married in 1991, and he has three children. The Apple Inc's CEO was graduated from Homestead High School in California in 1972 and attended Reed College in Portland but dropped out after one semester.
However, it was in year 1972 that he worked for Atari and Mr Jobs meet his friends Steve Wozniak, an engineering genius. In 1975, they create the Apple Inc after sold his Volkswagen micro-bus and Wozniak sold his Hewlett-Packard scientific calculator, which raised $1,300 and he guided Apply Inc grew to $2 billion company. This CEO is awards by National Technology Medal from President Reagan in 1985, Jefferson Award for Public Service in 1987 and ENtrepreneur of the Decade by Inc. magazine in 1989. However, Steve Jobs, who is decide to resign as a chairman because of power struggles in 1985. Mr Jobs start a new company called Next which producing software and not going back to hardware industry again. Despite, Next software was sold to Apple Inc in year 1996, meanwhile Jobs returned as a non-salaried adviser to to chairman Gilbert F. Amelio. In 1997, Mr Jobs negotiated deal with competitor Bill Gates of Microsoft and Microsoft agreed to invest $150 million for develop Mac versions of Microsoft Office. Steve Job was offered CEO and chairman position after Amelio ousted by Apple board.
Many people say he is a high-strung workaholic and able to motivates others with his enthusiasm. He is interesting in design job but not paper work, he receive 300 mails per day. Recently, the CEO is paid $1 a year from Apple because he have to focus on his health plan.
